He came to bring the Mourners Joy

    • About

  • Romans 6:6

Knowing this, that our old Man, is crucified with Him, that the Body of Sin might be destroyed, that henceforth, we should not serve Sin.

Lord Jesus! we read about You and your Torment in the Scriptures. With our Hypocrisy it rarely touches our Heart. We rebuke Judas and complain of Peter’s failings.

Another eagerly pressed the Crown upon You, Saviour, while the Soldier mauled your Face so cruelly and mercilessly mutilated your Side.

How few are those that grasp the true meaning of your Suffering. They accuse You of hateful sinning and use that as the cause of your Torment. But You have borne the heavy Burden of Mankind’s Sins.

Truly You bore great Pain and took away our Sickness; but many People have hard Hearts and stay on the Sinner’s Road. And with twisted Minds crucify You again.

Lord Jesus! let your bitter Suffering touch my Heart and cut such deep Wounds that bleed until Satan’s Desires and Power are completely washed away.

What good does it do if I sing of your Suffering, but it comes not from my Heart? Righteous repentance is needed; convert me, O mighty Father! You are Saviour and Healer of all the World.

I lay myself at your Feet, let my Tears flow so copiously that Sorrow and Lament sprout in my Heart and penetrate through to my Soul.

So that from now on I will not do the Things that displease You, Lord. Through your Suffering and Death graft me to You. Let me die to sinning and always remain a Twig in You for Ever.

Lord! strengthen my Faith every Hour and stand by me in the struggle, for I am Weak. Let no One rob me of the holiness of true Faith; without it we are lost and will not see Salvation.

When we consider Christ’s Wounds, Stripes and Shame with a matured Devotion our Hearts will overcome. Satan’s Hosts cannot tempt us, for we no longer cling to what the World stands for.

Fame, Beauty, Lust, Honour and Wealth, all the Treasures of this World are only for those who despise Christ’s Cross and Humiliation. They only seek that which pleases.

Jesus! through the Memory of your Torment, break my evil will, still my Pride and Sin. Let the Memory of your bloody Sweat and Fear and the Cross kill in me all that is Earthly, False and Sinful. Amen.

  • 2 Corinthians 4:17

For our light Affliction, which is but for a Moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory:

O Jesus, hear my Plea, I run and stand before You in my Need. Hear me, who must perish in Shame and Disgrace, among Enemies in a foreign Land with out Help or Salvation.

For wherever I set my Foot on the Path lie Traps and Nets, covered with a false Glamour. If I am not stedfast the Devil and his Minions, will attempt to snare my Soul.

He tempts the Children of Men, as Sinners to walk in the Way of the Flesh. He lures with Arrogance, Pride and Sin. Those who blindly follow will be lost and abandoned.

Many great Enemies are tempting us: outwardly our Flesh desires to do Evil, while within the good is smothered; our twisted will urges us to fulfill our base Desires. Lord! without your help we are quickly defeated.

Your all seeing Eye Lord, knows well the strife that surrounds us, and how hard we must fight. In such oppression we have no Rest or Peace at any Time, for Anxiety and Fear are within us.

O Lord! take us into your Protection and help us through these Storms. You promised not to abandon those who trust in You. Therefore great God grant it that we may embrace You with Confidence in our Faith.

My Saviour! O how your Heart weeps when You see Jerusalem perishing in Sin. Alas, do your Eyes also see my spiritual Torments and Lamentations? do You look on me in Pity?

O merciful One! let even my troubled Soul rejoice in your Help. So open your saving Arms and comfort the afflicted little Ones.

Jesus! Saviour and Protector! be the sole Possessor of our Souls and protect us with your Host of Angels. Extend your loving Hand to us and make an end of all our enemies. Yes, set us Free for your Glory!

Do not let us perish, nor look back like Lot’s Wife when You bring us out of Sodom. Let us embrace You with Faith, and let Satan be enslaved by the World with it’s wicked Pleasures and Riches.

And let us always consider, what Happiness will be bestowed on them whose will is united with yours. Let us follow the way to go and live with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

  • 2 Corinthians 4:15

For all Things are for your Sakes, that the abundant Grace might through the Thanksgiving of many redound to the Glory of God.

Praise the Lord! the eternal Father above; arise my Soul with Prayer and Thanksgiving. He is my God, Creator and Helper in my need. In my daily Life I behold many glorious Examples.

Praise the Lord! the Mighty, the Wise, the Faithful, in whose Name Heaven and Earth rejoice. Who also bears you, guides and nurtures you. Let us dedicate our self to entirely to Him.

Praise the Lord, the Son, crucified because of His Love for us. Praise Him, rise up and sing, from your Heart to Him who died and paid for us in Blood. Pray that He will always be our Saviour.

Praise the Lord! the Spirit who teaches and stimulates us. Through all of our Needs and unto Death, He is our Comforter and Intercessor. He alone blesses us and opens our Heart in firm Belief.

Praise the Lord! the Giver of many Gifts, which refresh us in the Kingdom of His Grace and Glory! Ask and you will receive, praise endlessly and you will have every Thing. Amen.

  • Genesis 8:22

While the Earth remaineth, Seedtime and Harvest, Cold and Heat, and Summer and Winter, and Day and Night shall not cease.

Lord, the Earth is blessed by the good Deeds of your Hand. The gentle Rain has fallen; your Bounty covers the Land, your Blessings flow over the Hills and the Valleys. You are our Hope and our Hearts rejoice.

Every Hour of the Day, Lord, our Eyes are lifted up to You. You satisfy every Mouth with Nourishment from Above. The Power flowing from your open Hand never fails. Your Salvation, your Gifts and your Abundance makes every One Glad and Satisfied.

You have generously poured Abundance from your Horn of Plenty. You made the Grass and the Herbs sprout, and You made the Fruit and Grain grow and mature. Your Might has warded off all Harm and Danger, and the yearly Harvest has been blessed.

Lord, we do not deserve all the good Things You have done. Our Conscience and Spirit accuse us of our many Sins. O, grant that the Seed You planted in the Field of our Hearts matures, and through your Mercy the Harvest brings us closer to Heaven.

Lord! help us to use the Earth’s Goodness faithfully. Let it be sanctified through Prayer and God’s Word. Let all we accomplish be sown in your Heart, O Lord! Then we shall know the Harvest will be unspeakably Rich and Great! Amen!

  • Jeremiah 5:24

Neither say they in their Heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth Rain, both the former and the latter, in his Season: He reserveth unto us the appointed Weeks of the Harvest.

We come before You to rejoice in your Mercy and give Thanks to You, Lord of the Harvest. Your gentle fatherly Hand has once again blessed our Land and filled our Barns with an abundant Harvest.

Graciously accept our whole hearted Praise, and deepen our feeling of Thanks for all the good You have done for us. We thank You for your Faithfulness and dedicate our Life to You.

And as your Love gives us our daily Bread, awaken our Compassion to see and feel our Brother’s Need. You love the Rich and Poor and give to each what they need; yes, enough to share with Others.

With your blessing every Thing has turned out well in the Field we cultivated. But are the Seeds of Faith ripening that God’s Son sowed in His harvest Field? When He looks at us, are we a Field that is growing and blooming for Him?

We must prevent the busy Enemy from sowing Weeds! Lord, let the Fruit of your Word grow far and wide, so that we may bring Sheaves of Praise on that great Harvest Day! Amen.

  • Psalm 118:22

The Stone which the Builders refused is become the Head Stone of the Corner.

The Foundation Stone chosen by God, the Rock on which the Church rests; your Glory will remain long after the World lies in Ruins.

Lord, we will gladly build a House where we proclaim your Honour and pure Doctrine for Ever and Ever.

Therefore we lay a Stone as the Foundation for a new Building. And we wait for the Hour of your Blessing, fresh as the Morning Dew.

O! let us raise up this House united in Love and Strength, so that with your Help nothing may grieve us.

But above all, Lord, prepare us for your Temple, so that those who depart from our midst will rejoice in eternal Rest. Amen.

  • Genesis 28:17

And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this Place! this is none other but the House of God, and this is the Gate of Heaven.

The Lord is present here, and here is the Gate of Heaven. The Lord’s Grace and Blessings are in this Place. Here true Believers will find the Gate and the Ladder to Heaven, despite Satan’s disguised Obstacles.

The Door is open here for who ever comes in Repentance, in Faith, Love and Hope, and weeps for Wrongs done. He will not be cast out, but he will be received by Jesus with all the Devout, and will not come into Judgment.

Who ever is Weary and heavy Burdened, let him enter in; he will find not only Bread and Wine, but also the Body, and Blood of Jesus that was shed for him. Here will be spiritual Enjoyment, in this Place where he may remain for Ever.

Here a joyful Feast is prepared for God’s People. Here shall those weakened with Strife and War be fed. Those who struggle against Sin and and crush the Works of Satan, will be fed here.

For those who are poor in Spirit and always hungry, those who surrender to the Lord and do Penance, those who long for Righteousness for the Pain in their Hearts, is this Feast of Mercy and Grace prepared.

Those who repent of their Sins from the bottom of the Heart, whether soon or late, shall rejoice in this holy Place. God will not cast them out; because they have been reborn, He has chosen them to live in His House.

O Jesus, my Delight! I come to You as the Sunrise, with heartfelt Desire. Give me to drink of your Blood and feed me with your Body. For I know and believe that You are the All Highest.

Because I am Weary and Faint with Pain and Suffering from many Sins, refresh me with your Joy. Satisfy me with the Wine of Life and the Bread of Life so that I remain Faithful to You. Help me commit myself entirely to You in Life and Death! Amen.

  • 1 Peter 2:5

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy Priesthood, to offer up spiritual Sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

God and Father, I beg You, grant my Plea for Grace and overlook my Guilt. The Pain of my Sins breaks my Heart; let your Mercy shine upon me , a poor sinner. O Lord! I deeply regret of my Sin; forgive me with your Grace! More and more prepare me each Day to walk in your Path, so that all I do may flow from true Faith in You, until my Life closes.

My God! I beg You to prepare me, a poor sinner, to be a Pillar of your House, which is founded for Eternity on Jesus Christ, whom Hell cannot tempt to change. Let me walk in the Path He forged with the Cross. Let me patiently endure Contempt, Hardship, Pressure and Adversity. But Lord, it is difficult for the Flesh; help make me, the weak One, stronger when You look down on me from Heaven.

Blow on this weak wick of Faith, make me a useful Vine. Take care of this bruised Reed in which this poor Soul lives. Prepare me here, so that I may fulfill your Will as best I can. Ruler of Multitudes! make me acceptable to You; help me tame the Desires of the Flesh, and save me from the Fire. O yes! with your Grace make me a Member of your Body, so that I shall stay with You for Ever.

I was conceived and born in Sin; save me with your Grace so that I may not be Lost. Grant me the Strength to fight the Lust that Flesh and Blood awaken; that my Robe of Innocence will not be defiled. O God! advise me; my Flesh often opposes me, and seeks Rest in the World, Rest which only abides in You. The Spirit is indeed willing, but the Strength to follow Holiness is often lacking.

My God! if my Prayer is granted, then comfort me with your Word. Say it so my Soul may hear: Enough, don’t tremble! You will remain for Ever in my Heart, how could I not love You! Amen.

    DEVINE COMFORT

Do not fail, my tender Servant! For I will make you free, and help you strive to overcome your Temptations. The harder the War, the more beautiful the Victory. I will help you defeat your Enemies. The Saviour, the Alpha and Omega calls you to follow the Cross. Consider my Work and conduct yourself so that nothing may tempt you. The Consolation in this will delight your mind and put your Spirit to Rest.

Remember the Rewards He promises: those who conquer the Flesh receive the Crown of Glory from my Hand, in the Light where Joy reigns for Ever above the Heads of those whose Names are written in the Book. Dear Soul, fight with Courage! I will not abandon you and when your Life is complete, I will take you in my Arms and hold you to my Breast. Your Death threatens Decay, but my Death will prevent it, and Heaven will be open to you.

When you triumph with me in eternal Glory, how Magnificent the holy white Garment will be that covers your Body. Out of great Love for you I died and purchased a precious Gift for you. Amen.

  • Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same Yesterday, and Today, and for Ever.

Give Thanks to the Lord, Servants of God! come and exalt Him in Praise, for He calls the Seed of Israel His: Jesus Christ is Today, Yesterday and for Ever.

Do not say, These Days are not like they were in the Past. God reveals His Secrets to no one. What God did in the Past is not for us to know.

Do not think, The Hands of the Most High are weakened now, or His good Things come to an End; He is still gracious and merciful in every Way: Christ is still Today, Yesterday and for Ever.

In all Things hold fast to your God alone: let only those Things that God does bring bring you Joy. In all your Trouble and Distress, always seek the Comfort of your God.

All you Servants of God, seek your Master in your Distress. Those who turn Anywhere but to the true God will go astray, and in all Matters prepare only more Trouble for themselves.

Only those who trust in the Lord will walk on the right Path; those who call on Him in a Voice of Anguish, Fear and Dread; to them alone will the Glory and Hand of God be known.

Therefore, give Thanks to God, you Servants of God! come exalt Him in Praise! for He still calls the Seed of Israel His own. Jesus Christ is Today, Yesterday and for Ever. Amen.

  • Psalm 119:105

Thy Word is a Lamp unto my Feet, and a Light unto my Path.

Lord, your precious Word is an exalted Gift. Grant me this Treasure, for I prefer it above all Possessions and Wealth. What would Faith rest upon if your Word no longer had any Value? I care not about the World’s Affairs, only about keeping and doing what your Word commands.

Hallelujah and Amen! Lord, look upon me that I may stand firm in your Name, true to your Word. Let me be devoted, ardent to be with You Early and Late, eager to sit at your Feet as many have done. Amen.
