He came to bring the Mourners Joy

    • About

  • 2nd Corinthians 5:21

For He hath made Him Sin for us, Who knew no Sin; that we might be made righteous of God in Him.

When I’m suffering in Sin, O Lord Jesus Christ, remind me how You died on the Cross and took the full Burden of my Sins upon Yourself. If I look at it through true Faith, the Lord allowed Himself to be tortured and gave Himself up to die for a lost Man, blessing me beyond measure.

How can my many Sins harm me now? God’s great Grace has paid for my guilt through Christ’s precious Blood. I no longer fear the torment and Fires of Hell. Now and for the rest of my Life, O Lord Jesus Christ, I praise and thank You from the bottom of my Heart: for Your cries of fear and distress, for Your innocent Death, and for Your Love and Faithfulness.

Lord, never let me forget how much Your bitter suffering cost. Help me forget my sinful Desires that I may praise, thank and worship you for ever. Help me to bear my Cross and suffering patiently even through shame and death. Grant it, my Lord and God, that I may deny the World and follow the example You have set before me.

Let me do unto others what You have done for me. Gladly serving my Neighbours without selfishness or hypocrisy. To do this out of pure Love as Thou hast shown me. Lord let the Blood from Your Wound console me in my final Hours and reassure me. I trust in Your Grace that You will accept me, and that I will be with You for ever. Amen.

  • John 10:14

I am the good Shepherd, and know my Sheep and am known of mine.

Good Shepherd of all Souls, my Soul is ever refreshed anew by Your Shepherd’s faithfulness which is glorious and Eternal.

The Flock is Yours alone. You know them and can name them all. They are in Your Hand for safekeeping.

As they are known to You, so are your Hand, Heart and Name known to them. They understand Your Voice and willingly follow You with eager desire. Amen!

  • Hebrews 4:9

There remaineth therefore rest to the People of God.

Our Rest is yet to come. So rise up weary Heart, and shine. Here is only Darkness and our Chains drag us down. We look to the Lamb on His Throne who will feed us with Joy. We cast our Burdens down and hurry to Him. Soon our battles will be over and the rough and rocky Road will end. We will enter into his eternal Rest.

So come, weary Souls who are burdened down with your heavy Hearts. Leave your dark Caves of sorrow, there is no need to sigh and be oppressed. You have carried your Burden far enough. Let the Saviour say to you: I will be your resting Place. You are my People and I will protect you, even though Hell’s lightning flashes upon you. Be of good cheer and enter into my Rest.

There we will rest and be at Peace and live without worries for ever. Listen to this Word, all you who are weary, lay yourselves in the Bosom of the Saviour. Fly with Wings, we must hurry and not linger. A happy Host is waiting for us there. Fly, fly my Spirit and rejoice! Claim your white Robe, the year of our Rest is coming! Amen.

  • Psalm 139:7

Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy Presence?

Lord, I have sinned; I am burdened by the weight of my Sin. I have not walked in the Way You showed me. In my fear I want to hide myself from Your Wrath.

But how can I escape You? You are everywhere. If I sail over the Sea You will find me. If I had Wings to fly like the Wind, yet would You follow me.

Lord, I must confess, I have acted wrongly and can no longer call myself Your Child. Please have Mercy on me! Do not let my many Sins arouse Your Wrath.

If a Man could count the Sand in the vast Sea, it still would not equal all my Sins, all of my many Wrongs.

Weep, O weep, the Tears flow from my Eyes. O, if only I had enough Tears to wash away my Misery. O, that my Tears were a Fountain unending.

O that the Tears would flood my Eyes and flow like Blood. O that my Tears would well up like the Waves of the Sea. Alas, my Body lacks the Water.

Jesus, from Your Wounds a single drop of Blood can put out the Fire of my Sins. Your Wounds wrap around me and warm me and still all my Fears.

Lord, You will take my heavy Burden, and throw it into the deepest Sea. Make me as white as Snow and wake me up to sin no more. Your Spirit will guide me and I will always stay with You. Amen.

  • John 11:25

Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead yet shall he live.

Jesus, my safe Harbour and Saviour is alive. This I know and am content. The long night of Death brings no fear. Jesus, my saviour lives. Where my Redeemer abides there is Life. Why should I be afraid? Where the Head goes the Body follows.

In hope I am closely bound to Him, and the strong Hand of my Faith is placed on Him. The spell of Death cannot separate me from Him. I am Flesh and must return to Ashes and Dust. But He will raise me up from the Earth, and give me a Place in Glory for ever.

Then God will see me in this new Body and the new Skin that surrounds me. And with my new Body I will live with Jesus for ever. My Eyes will see with a new Light and I will know my Saviour. I will shine in His Love and not be a Stranger. My earthly weaknesses will be gone.

All that is sickness and sighing will be gone. I am sown on Earth but will rise up in Heaven. On Earth I am but Clay, but will rise up Spiritually, fresh and Glorious. Be of good cheer and rejoice. Jesus carries you, my Friends. Do not give in to Death. Christ will call you again when the last Trumpet sounds. We will rise up from the Grave.

Let the Grave laugh, let Death and Hell laugh. When you join the Saviour in the Air, all these Things will be left beneath your Feet.

So raise your Spirit from the temptations of the Earth. Surrender yourself to Jesus Christ. Send your Heart to the Place you wish for ever to be! Amen.

  • Hebrews 4:10

For he that is entered into his Rest, he also hath ceased from his own Works, as God did from His.

How peacefully do they rest, all who bravely fought the Battles of Life. How peacefully they rest in the Grave until the Day they will be raised up in Victory.

You, the Son of God, the Saviour were also covered up in the Grave after Your work on the Cross was finished. You did not stay there and turn to Dust. As the Victor You arose again.

O, when we too rest in our Grave, like all the Blessed who endured and prevailed in the difficult Battles of Life, the precious Saviour will call us from our Graves for the victory Ceremony. Amen.

  • Romans 14:9

For to this end, Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the Living and the Dead.

May my Soul be lifted up by my devoted Redeemer, who by His death has crushed my Enemies: the Devil, Hell and Death, eternal Damnation, Torment and Distress.

Therefore I praise Christ for His Love that is beyond measure. He came for our Salvation and Guidance. He has taken away for ever the Strength and Fury of our Enemies with His Stripes, Torment and Blood.

Through His death He mercifully erased our great Guilt, and the Sins that cause us Pain and Torment. His bitter suffering brought us Joy, His resurrection brought Righteousness. Praise Him, we are set free.

He won Peace with God for us and like lost Children brought us back to the Kingdom of Heaven. He enriches our Soul and makes us equal to all the Heirs of Heaven. The Angels themselves are our Brothers.

O, how glad our Soul! How our Hearts rejoice, sweet Saviour in You! Grant us Life through Your death and resurrection. Help us, Jesus, through Your Victory and Your Mercy.

Let the old Man die that the new Man may rise up stronger into a Life that pleases You. Let us reach up with Joy to Heaven, and through Your Resurrection rise up to meet You, for ever in Paradise! Amen.

  • Psalm 147:9

He giveth the Beast his Food, and to the young Ravens which cry.

Let us give Thanks to the Lord, for He is full of Goodness, His Kindness is Endless, and His Spirit is Merciful. He provides Food for every Man and for all the Beasts.

When a young Raven calls, God does not let him hunger. He provides the Water, the Air and all the Food. He takes no Delight in the Strength of a Horse, nor in the Strength of a boastful Man.

He is Delighted and well Pleased when Man acknowledges Him in Awe and Fear, and when He hears our Praises of Him. And when with a True and Loyal Heart we free ourselves from all Evil and wait for the Reward of His Bounty. Amen

  • Psalm 145:16

Thou openest Thine Hand, and satisfiest the Desire of every living Thing.

Winter has come and the beautiful Flowers have disappeared. The Crops are harvested and the Fields are bare. The Wind no longer whispers through the leaves in the Forest. Children of God , be not as barren as the Earth in Winter. Let the Sacrifice of our Heart rise to the eternal Light.

Every Thing that God has made for us has now been gathered and stored in it’s Place. Let us take the Time to gather for our Souls also. In this Time of Grace let us harvest what the Lord offered us in the Hours He was on the Cross.

The Storm is roaring and the Traveler hurries to seek Shelter before Nightfall. O Jesus, You are our Roof and Tower of Strength, where we shelter from Life’s wicked Storms.

The Leaves of the Trees fall to the Earth and turn to Dust from where they came. No matter how High and Mighty we become, we also go down into the Earth from where we came.

As the Farmer plants his Seeds in the Ground and waits for the Fruit, so does our Father cover over our Bodies in the Earth, so that we may rise again. Amen.

  • Psalm 104:28

That Thou givest them they gather: Thou openest Thine Hand, they are filled with Good.

Lord God from Whom all Blessings flow, You created the World and all that is therein. All the Gifts and Blessings You provide for us make us Rich! There is no God like You.

Who can count the Multitudes at Your Table? No one wants for any Thing, You teach us Faith and Thanksgiving. We receive the Bread of Life from Your Hand.

You give us Hope, and in Hope we sow and in Season enjoy the Fruit of our Labour. The Wind that waves the Grain, the Clouds that water the Land, the Morning Dew and the Beams of the Sun are Your Servants.

A Man plants the Seeds to grow the Grain that provides him with Bread. The Seed that seems Dead at the Start, sprouts and multiplies many Times over. Through the Harvest, Sustenance is given to the Young and the Old.

What more is it that Man needs? The Miracles of God are Endless. His Mercy has no End and in Faith we know that we receive much More than we can repay.

Let us not forget the Blessings He brings us. Every Thing we receive is a Memorial to His Name. Our Flesh and our Spirit give Thanks every Day to His great bounty. Amen.
